A room full of bags…

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

The decoration is ready and the food smells delicious. Everything looks good for our cookout. We invited 14 friends. The weather was perfect for a day outdoors and it was inviting for activities. Time passed and the doorbell ring. Our first guest made it, Bob & Tina. Minutes later another guest came, Tamara. After an hour we understood that the rest of our invitees wasn't going to come. I felt sad. I didn't understand why the rest of the people did not show up but everything happens for a reason. God always has a plan. We finished eating and it started raining. “Where did this rain come from” everybody asked while running inside the house. We sat down in the basement den and I apologize for the room full of bags to our guests. We had a room with what appeared to be endless trash bags full of clothes. We explain that God put “The Closet” in our hearts and that we have been praying for a space to rent that we could afford to start the project. Then we talked about different topics. At that point, we were not thinking about who missed the cookout. We were having a great evening. Before calling it a night one of our guests asked if we could look for a place to rent and the he would take care of the rental cost in order for us to start God's mission. That's how God work!. I didn't realize why my guest didn't show up. I didn't understood why it rained. I understand now that God wanted the right person at the right time to work His purpose and to do His will. Now you know that if your plans don't go in the way you expect maybe God is moving in the other direction in your favor.
